3 Immune Boosting Vegan Smoothies

Foods can harm and foods can heal.  As the great Hippocrates said, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”.

Boosting your immune system with fresh, organic (when possible) fruits, vegetables and spices should be, and can be, part of your daily regime to optimize health.

Blend up a smoothie each morning with colourful fruits, veg and spices to benefit from the antioxidants, nutrients, to keep you full and give you energy to get through your morning. We chose to keep these smoothies vegan and dairy-free, as dairy can cause inflammation in some. Protein has been replaced with chia seeds and nut milk. Spices and tea like turmeric, green tea and ginger we used to stimulate digestion and boost immunity with their high antioxidant properties.

1. Blueberry Orange Turmeric


  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 orange
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 handful spinach
  • 1 banana
  • ice + water to thin as desired

2. Greens + More Greens

  • 1/2 cup brewed green tea
  • small handful each raw spinach and kale
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 cup coconut water
  • 1/2 peeled green apple
  • ice

3. Ginger Berry

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup mixed berries
  • 1/2 banana
  • juice from 1/4 lemon
  • 1″ piece grated ginger
  • 1 Tblsp chia seeds
  • ice
