No Added Sugar Cranberry Sauce



Cranberry sauce is a staple with my Holiday dinners.  When you realize just how easy this is to make, you’ll ditch the canned stuff (which is packed with added sugar). This recipe is naturally tart with the organic cranberries, but adding the spices and apple neutralize that a bit, making this a perfect garnish with your main.

No sugar added Cranberry Apple Sauce. You should smell my house right now.

In a small sauce pan, combine:
1 Apple, peeled and diced
1 bag organic cranberries
Juice and rind from 1/2 large orange
1/4 cup water
Pinch of cloves
Dash of cinnamon

Bring all to a boil, covered, then reduce to a simmer for 25-30 minutes until most of the juice has been absorbed. Remove from heat and let cool. Refrigerate until cool and thick. Garnish with orange rind.
