Happy chickens make happy eggs. Confused by the many labels?
There are cage-free, free-run, organic, free-range… I eat eggs a few times a week and I feed them to my growing children. I do, however, ONLY buy organic eggs. According to David Suzuki’s Queen of Green, organic is your best choice because the farms have passed animal welfare standards and the chicken’s feed is free from antibiotics and hormones.
However you choose to use your eggs, whether it’s to cook them or use them in a face mask, sourcing eggs that are free from added chemicals are best for your body and skin, and most of all best for the hens who provide them.
